Why Citi may have the best credit cards.
The ugly duckling of credit cards
Love you all.
My LinkedIn content has been blowing up, THANK YOU.
I will not stop delivering free value here & on LinkedIn.
I will also not stop pushing my course on you. Why? Because most of your are missing out on a ton of knowledge and the course has everything in one place.
My big, “I’m an entrepreneur now,” sale ends today. Grab the course here at the lowest ever price ($75).
Now let’s talk about why you should think about a Citi card.
If credits cards were an electoral map…
Chase would be California, Amex would be New York, Capital One would be Texas, and Citi would be Iowa.
Relevant, but mostly ignored.
And I’m not sure why? I don’t hear points & miles people talking about Citi very much.
Well I’m talking about it today.
Because I think we all might be missing out.
Let’s start by talking about earning Citi points:
Citi Strata Premier: Recap:
75k bonus
Earn 10x points booking through CitiTravel (meh).
Earn 3x points on
Flights
Hotels
Restaurants
Groceries
Gas
EV charging!
Earn 1x on everything else.
Guys, that’s exceptional. And only a $95 annual fee?
And something even cooler?
You can combine this card with the Citi Double Cash card and earn unlimited 2% back on all the categories you’d earn 1x with the Strata Premier.
That means Citi has a 2-card system where you could earn 2-3x points on every single purchase.
No other card has that. One could argue, for a normal family, this is the best card combo out there.
Now, like I always tell my clients, earning a ton of points is useless if those points aren’t valuable.
How valuable are Citi points?
Redeeming Citi points:
This is solid, people.
Some of my favorites on here:
Air France-KLM Flying Blue to go to Europe.
Avianca Life Miles
JetBlue TrueBlue.
Qantas.
Virgin Atlantic.
Wyndham Rewards.
These transfer partner options, in my opinion, are just as good as Capital One & Amex.
And no Amex transfer fees!
Just look at this JetBlue deal:
Chump change to Cancun? That’s amazing.
You could get 17 of these with the Citi Premier bonus alone. Wild!
I think I’ve made my point with Citi.
Big welcome bonus (75k).
Low annual fee ($95).
Great earning potential (1-3x, or 2-3x if you get the Citi Double Cash).
Great transfer partners.
What else can you ask for in a card?
Even more good news? Citi doesn’t have a 5/24 rule like Chase, so if you have a bunch of cards or recently grabbed more, there’s still a solid chance you can get approved!
Don’t sleep on Citi.
