Go Somewhere: Volume 3

Travel Hacking + tech = headache free success

Happy Friday friends.

I’m blown away by how many of you continue to subscribe and read this newsletter! I’m putting in work to provide you guys with advanced + actionable content. Thank you so much for being here.

Here’s the purpose of this newsletter: to teach you the basics (+ then some) of travel hacking and help you and your family travel more, for less, by sharing two epic travel hacks each week.

I love learning this stuff. I’ve been obsessed with travel since I was 15. I’ve been to a number of places, but there’s so many more… The only thing that’s more exciting than booking a trip for myself is helping one of you achieve your travel dreams.

It’s been amazing to witness the excitement from my LinkedIn audience as they realize that the trips they thought were impossible or for retirement are possible, now.

If you don’t follow me on LinkedIn, I’m posting travel content 2-4x weekly (often separate topics from this newsletter). You’re missing out on more info if you don’t! Follow me here.

Some recent post highlights:

Now, onto the hacks.

We’re focusing on tech today.

Hack #1: Seats.aero

Tech + travel hacking is a beautiful thing. There’s perhaps no better example than seats.aero.

For those of you who’ve been doing award travel for some time, you know it’s HARD to find availability sometimes. Seats.aero fixes that.

This free product allows you to search award availability and price across all the different airline loyalty programs for destinations all over the world.

I chose to explore KLM/Flying Blue’s section on seats.aero, plugged in North America to Europe, then filtered by lowest points to highest, and found direct flights from New York to Amsterdam for a shocking 11,500 points +$60 in taxes and fees leaving in 2 weeks.

There are infinite possibilities with this search tool. Let it be the place you start as you look for award flights.

Its main limitation is that it does not search very far in advance. You need to pay for that:)

Hack #2: Award Wallet

If you have more than one card, Award Wallett is a must.

It’s an essential travel app. Their website explains it more beautifully than I could, check this out.

It’s an all-in-one credit card points + benefits organizer. Don’t miss out on ANY of your perks.

This becomes more important the more cards you get.

That’s it for today. Hope this tech fuels your travel hacking this week.

I appreciate all of you!

I’m working hard for a couple of clients right now optimizing their spending, getting them started in points, and booking the trips of their dreams. If you need help, reach out.

Have a great weekend. Same time, same place, next Friday?
