Go Somewhere: Volume 17

This might be the craziest travel hack ever... & a less crazy hack that you'll thank me for.

The name of this newsletter is Go Somewhere.

Why?

Because I don’t want you all to just read about travel, I want you to do it.

So let this be your sign to book that trip you’ve been putting off.

New readers - go read my previous posts - there’s a ton of knowledge that can send you on your first trip on points!

I can’t wait to share some of the things I’ve learned.

Slightly dangerous way to get incredibly discounted travel.

Bear with me here. Writing this Thursday night too late and just discovered this hack.

And yes, sharing it publicly as I learn about it.

So don’t come after me if I miss something.

One hilarious (but very real) way to get crazy cheap travel?

Timeshare sales presentations.

Basically, the major hotel chains are desperate to sell you a timeshare.

By the way, don’t buy a timeshare.

They put out offers for you to come experience their timeshare properties at amazing discounts.

Check this out.

This Hyatt property in Mexico is usually $250+ per night and this offer brings the nightly price down to $133.

The catch? You have to attend a 2-hour timeshare sales presentation.

They say these are some of the pushiest sales people out there… So be careful.

Another one from Hilton!

Stay 3 nights at the enormous Disney resort for only $100 per night.

Same catch, go to the presentation.

I encourage everyone to do their own research and look more into the cons of this, but it is certainly real and available.

If you can handle a boring 2-hour presentation, you might be able to get a crazy good deal on your next trip.

You gotta know this hack.

This is short and sweet.

When you come back to America after traveling internationally, you have to go through customs/passport control.

There can be very long lines.

One easy way to avoid the lines?

Download the free Mobile Passport app and fill out the necessary forms.

Do this when you land in the U.S.

When you get to passport control, there will be a mobile passport line.

Typically, that line is almost empty while the main line is huge.

This is simple, but could save you a precious 30 minutes of being annoyed in line.

It’s the little things, friends.

That’s it for this week, everyone. Feel free to send in your questions to be answered next week!
