A masterclass on booking all-inclusive resorts w/points.
It doesn't get much better than this.
Writing this morning from my beautiful balcony at a 5-start all-inclusive resort in Cancun.
I’ve got an ocean view, a full belly from endless food/desserts, a happy (mostly) toddler, and I’m realizing - this is vacation. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Can you believe this place???
I want all of YOU to experience this - so this issue is all about how you can book all-inclusive resorts with your points.
Let’s get into it.
I give you, luxury.
The major hotel chains with all-inclusive properties include:
Hyatt
Wyndham
Hilton
Marriott.
You can earn points with banks & transfer to these programs, or earn points with hotel co-branded credit cards.
So, you can book all-inclusives with points with any of these hotel brands, but I am only focusing on two today.
Hyatt & Wyndham. Because I think they’re the best.
Let’s talk Wyndham Rewards:
Nobody talks about Wyndham Rewards. I’m not sure why.
They’re less popular than me at a Dave Ramsey event.
But here’s the beef.
You can book any luxury all-inclusive Wyndham property for 30,000 points per night.
Doesn’t matter if that hotel costs $700+ (not uncommon), you can book it for 30k points.
That’s a deal. And availability isn’t hard to find!
But how do you earn those points?
That’s right, you can transfer points/miles from Capital One & Citi right to Wyndham rewards.
Just go to Wyndham’s website and check out some of their amazing all-inclusive properties.
Remember: You don’t just have access to Wyndham - you can book with Wyndham’s partner hotels (what I did) like Grand Palladium (all over the world). Same price.
So:
Earn Wyndham points.
Transfer (if necessary).
Book any Wyndham (or partner) all-inclusive for 30k points/night.
One catch: Wyndham MAY charge extra for a child 3 years or older. It’s hard to tell. I’m waiting to get a straight answer on this.
30k/night is pricing for double occupancy. They technically could charge you an additional fee to bring your kiddies.
… Wish I had more info than that right now.
Until then, I’m enjoying the beauty of Wyndham rewards at the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres in Cancun.
Do the Hyatt dance.
Blah, blah, blah, you talk about Hyatt so much, dude.
Well, I haven’t talked about their all-inclusives much, “dude”, and you people need to be reminded of their greatness quite often.
Hyatt organizes their all-inclusive properties into 6 categories. Pricing looks like this:
The best value resorts will be categories A, B, & C.
This is one of the best-looking highly-rated all-inclusive Hyatt resorts (in category B). You can book it for as low as 17,000 points per night!
Cash rates often approach $500 for their cheapest room. This is an incredible deal.
You can earn points with my favorite credit card and transfer them directly to Hyatt.
Got a business? You could easily earn enough for 5 nights just with the sign-up bonus alone on this card.
Not to flex, but right now, I have 210,000 of the most valuable points in the world and could stay at that Hyatt property for 12 nights, free.
12 nights.
Now, I’m not going to do that. But it shows the possibilities.
I can’t stress enough how valuable all-inclusive resorts are for family travel.
This week, we haven’t worried about food once. We haven’t done a dish. We haven’t gone to a grocery store. We haven’t gotten in a car. We haven’t washed or hung towels to dry. We haven’t carried a bag. We haven’t cleaned anything.
Everything is done for us. It’s so cool.
I have to plug again the resort I’m staying at. Check it out here.
That’s it for this week, happy traveling!
